A Founder's Note: Where This Company Goes Next
Lee Tuck, founder of Aurevon Health, on where the company goes next: the standards that will not bend, and the promise he intends to keep in public view.

This is the note that closes the back catalogue, the last of the twice weekly letters before the series continues into autumn, and I want to use it for the thing I have been building towards all year: where this company goes next. Not a product roadmap, we publish those separately when there is news, but the direction of travel, the standards that will not bend, and the promise that is easier to make at the beginning of a journey than it will be to keep later on.
What We Are For, Stated Plainly
Strip everything away and Aurevon Health exists for one purpose: to make the European medical travel patient harder to fail. Every note in this series has been a tool for that, verification, checklists, questions, calendars, honest framings of risk, and every service we are building is a way of handing those tools to patients directly instead of keeping the expertise locked in a concierge conversation. I have written that a patient holding a checklist is worth more than a patient holding a brochure, and the company's future is that sentence made real.
Which means the standards you have read in these notes are the ones we intend to be judged against publicly. Providers who welcome awkward questions, written plans over verbal promises, honest prices over headline prices, involvement of your own doctor as the norm rather than an exception, and the willingness to tell a patient not to travel when travelling is wrong. If we ever fall short of these, the notes will have told you exactly what to hold us to, and that is by design.
It also means honesty about our size and stage. We are a young company in a young industry's oldest problem: trust. We will not claim decades we do not have, patient numbers we have not served, or outcomes we do not own. What we can claim is that every standard in this series is being implemented in the open, and that the patient who verifies us finds exactly what the notes describe.
The Autumn Ahead
Practically, the coming months focus on the things these notes have demanded all along. More transparency from the providers in our network, accreditations, named clinicians, written pathways, disclosed in ways patients can check themselves. More structure around the parts of journeys that fail quietly, the follow up, the documents, the coordination between the treating team and your own doctor. And more of these notes, twice a week, on the topics patients keep asking for, because the correspondence has become the company's best editor.
There is also a quieter ambition I want on record, because recording it makes it harder to quietly drop. I want the phrase medical tourism to stop meaning bargain and start meaning diligence. This industry will be trusted exactly as much as its most careful participants deserve, and I intend Aurevon to sit permanently among the careful ones, even when care costs us bookings, especially when care costs us bookings.
And to the patients who have travelled with us so far, and to the ones still deciding: the offer that closes every note stands unchanged. Use the chat on our website, ask us anything, test us with the awkward questions, and judge us by how we answer. There is no obligation, there never has been, and there never will be.
The Promise, One Last Time in This Series' Opening Voice
I wrote in the very first of these notes that healthcare decisions deserve patience, honesty and calm, and that I intended to earn trust before asking for anything. That sentence has survived contact with reality better than I expected, so I am simply going to keep it. The patients we serve will be told the truth, including when the truth is inconvenient for us. The providers in our network will be held to the standards the notes describe, or they will not be in it. And the notes will continue to be written as if every reader is the person I most want to protect, because in a real sense, every reader is.
So here is to the autumn, and to every journey that begins calmly, verifies thoroughly and recovers well. The back catalogue is complete, the standard is set, and the next note is already being drafted. From Malta, with intent, and with thanks for reading this far.
Where We Come In
Aurevon Health helps patients verify providers, frame questions, read quotes and plan journeys that include the flight home and the months after it, while practising no medicine and promising no perfection. If your journey is starting, or restarting, the conversation is one click away and always will be.
Use the chat on our website and tell us where you are. We will meet you there, with no obligation and no pressure, as always, and as ever. That is the direction of travel, and it is not changing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Aurevon Health's mission?
To make the European medical travel patient harder to fail. Every service we build hands patients the tools these notes have taught: verification, checklists, questions, calendars and honest framings of risk. We would rather arm patients with checklists than brochures, and we intend to be judged publicly against the standards the Founder's Notes describe, including telling a patient not to travel when travelling is the wrong choice.
Will Aurevon Health stay honest as it grows?
That is the commitment, stated publicly so it can be held against us. We will not claim decades, patient numbers or outcomes we do not own, and the patient who verifies us should find exactly what the notes describe: providers who welcome awkward questions, written plans over verbal promises, honest prices over headline prices, and involvement of your own doctor as the norm. Care will cost us bookings sometimes, and we intend to pay.
What is changing at Aurevon Health this autumn?
More of what the notes have demanded all along: more transparency from network providers, accreditations, named clinicians and written pathways disclosed so patients can check them, more structure around the parts of journeys that fail quietly, follow up, documents and coordination between treating teams and your own doctor, and more Founder's Notes, twice weekly, on the topics patients keep requesting, since the correspondence has become the company's best editor.
Can I still just talk to someone before deciding anything?
Yes, and that is the permanent offer. Use the chat on the website, ask anything, test us with the awkward questions, and judge us by how we answer. There is no obligation, there never has been, and there never will be, and the concierge conversation is designed to find out whether travelling is even the right chapter for you before anyone talks about where.
Are the Founder's Notes continuing?
Yes, twice a week, Monday and Thursday, to the same standard: every note must leave the reader better prepared than a brochure would, or it does not deserve the reader's time. The best notes in the series have been suggested by readers, so the invitation stands to propose a topic or share which notes helped you. The back catalogue is complete, and the next note is already being drafted.
